Blue Dahlia Synopsis

A Harper has always lived at Harper House, the centuries-old mansion just outside of Memphis. And for as long as anyone alive remembers, the ghostly Harper Bride has walked the halls, singing lullabies at night...

Trying to escape the ghosts of the past, young widow Stella Rothchild, along with her two energetic little boys, has moved back to her roots in southern Tennessee - and into her new life at Harper House and In the Garden nursery. She isn't intimidated by the house - nor its mistress, local legend Roz Harper. Despite a reputation for being difficult, Roz has been nothing but kind to Stella, offering her a comfortable new place to live and a challenging new job as manager of the flourishing nursery. As Stella settles comfortably into her new life, she finds a nurturing friendship with Roz and with expectant mother Hayley. And she discovers a fierce attraction with ruggedly handsome landscaper Logan Kitridge.

But someone isn't happy about the budding romance...the Harper Bride. As the women dig into the history of Harper House, they discover that grief and rage have kept the Bride's spirit alive long past her death. And now, she will do anything to destroy the passion that Logan and Stella share...

The Tea Rose Review

With an overwhelming consensus, The Tea Rose was a hit. Full of love, loss, murder and success, there was something for everyone. There was crying, laughing and horrible words said of a certain character (Millie Peterson)! So The Tea Rose gets our highest review yet: 5 stars!

The Tea Rose

"East London, 1888-a city apart. A place of shadow and light where theives, whores, and dreamers mingle, where children play in the cobbled streets by day and a killer stalks at night, where bright hopes meet the darkest truths. Here, by the whispering waters of the Thames, Fiona Finnegan, a worker in a tea factory, hopes to own a shop one day, together with her lifelong love, Joe Bristow, a costermonger's son. With nothing but their faith in each other to spur them on, Fiona and Joe struggle, save, and sacrifice to achieve their dreams. But Fiona's life is shattered when the actions of a dark and brutal man take from her nearly everything-and everyone-she holds dear. Fearing her own death, she is forced to flee London for New York. There, her indomitable spirit propels her rise from a modest West Side shop-front to the top of Manhattan's tea trade. But Fiona's old ghosts do not rest quietly, and to silence them, she must venture back to the London of her childhood, where a deadly confrontation with her past becomes the key to her future."

L.A.M.B The gospel according to Biff, Christs childhood pal

"The birth of Jesus has been well chronicled, as have his glorious teachings, acts, and divine sacrafice after his thirtieth birthday. But no one knows about the early life of the Son of God, the missing years-except Biff, the Messiah's best bud, who has been resurrected to tell the story.
Verily, the story of Biff has to tell is a miraculous one, filled with remarkable journeys, magic, healing, kung fu, corpse reanimations, demons, and hot babes. Even the considerable wiles and devotion of the Savior's pal may not be enough to divert Joshua from his tragic destiny. But there's no one who loves Josh more-except maybe "Maggie", Mary of Magdala-and Biff isn't about to let hi extrodinary pal suffer and ascend without a fight."

Book Review

'I am Eleanor because I have a beard.'

The overall consensus of the Haunting of Hill House was an overall rating of 4 stars out of 5, just for weird factor alone. Each character had his/her own share of quirks but as for the actual house... Was Eleanor the reincarnated daughter of Hugh Crain or was she just completely out of her mind? I guess it will remain a mystery as will Hill House.

Food for Thought: Was Theodora gay? Or just an avid attention seeker? Or both?
